Writing an LLM from scratch, part 34a -- building a JAX training loop for an LLM training run

A compatibility note on the abuse of Windows window class extra bytes

In discussing the evolution of system window and class extra bytes, I found that although IDs are typically small integers, people like to store pointers in them, so we had to extend the ID field to a pointer-sized integer.
